It’s the time of year when publications rank best episodes, best couples, and more. Sam Heughan isn’t happy with the “ranking” of TV couples.

The end of the year always brings the “bests” and “worsts” of the year. Best TV couples of the year is something that Entertainment Tonight has listed, and Sam Heughan isn’t happy with the “rank.”

And yes, I put “rank,” because it wasn’t actually a ranking. The publication opted to post in alphabetical order, deciding that ranking wasn’t fair, I guess. But it meant that due to Outlander starting with an “O,” the show was the 14th on the list.

Sam Heughan immediately tweeted out against that, asking how Claire and Jamie could have been in 14th place. After all, the writer was Leanne Aguilera, who is Entertainment Tonight‘s Outlander lass. She has interviewed Heughan and co-star Caitriona Balfe from the beginning and is a Sassenach. When you need the scoop on the show, she’s got it!

So, why wouldn’t she put one of her favorite couples in a higher spot?

She did come onto Twitter to explain that it’s all in alphabetical order. Of course, that led to a little banter between the two. Shouldn’t it be AAAAAOutlander?

Steven Cree quickly got in on the banter. He would like to point out that Jamie and Ian have the best relationship. Or is the use of the GIF meant to be that Cree and Heughan have the best relationship? We’ll leave that for you to decide.

Either way, we’ll let it slide this once, Aguilera. Next time, make sure it’s ranked properly and the Frasers are at the top!
