What can we expect from the Outlander Season 5 sneak peek?

There’s a sneak peek of Outlander Season 5 coming. Fans will get the first four minutes of the season, but what can we expect in those four minutes?

STARZ will bring the first four minutes of Outlander Season 5 on Sunday. We all get a sneak peek into the season, getting a chance to see where the story will pick up.

It’s certainly exciting, and I love that STARZ has continued to promote the show during Droughtlander this time. However, the big question is what we can expect from the first four minutes of the season.

We know that Outlander Season 5 is picking up with the wedding of Brianna and Roger. When the image of Claire and Jamie was shared, Diana Gabaldon confirmed that this was the premiere. I doubt we’ll see the wedding specifically in the first four minutes unless the show has decided to rush it entirely, but there will likely be the runup to the wedding.

“The Fiery Cross” has a lot of content based on the families coming to the Ridge. We get to know some of those Jamie is considering for his militia and those who will stay behind. While “boring” to some, it’s got a lot of finer details of the life of the Frasers on the Ridge. However, not all of that is going to translate to screen properly.

Instead, I think the storylines will interweave with the show slowly. Instead of a big buildup to a wedding that takes place in Episode 3 or 4, I think we’ll get a small buildup, focusing on the family in the first four minutes. The wedding will happen sometime in the premiere episode, leaving those extra storylines to appear in later episodes.

I think the first four minutes will be of Claire and Jamie discussing the wedding. We may even get a small clip of Brianna and Roger parenting or of Roger and Jamie getting the chance to clear the air. I’d love to see the letter from the end of “Drums of Autumn” to show up in the first four minutes, which would deliver some Roger and Jamie moments.
