Why was Uncharted one of the favorite Outlander episodes from the cast?

On Saturday, STARZ offered an Outlander marathon with a twist. It was a chance to see the cast member’s favorites. Why was Uncharted on the list?

STARZ did an Outlander marathon with a twist at the weekend. Instead of airing each of the episodes in order, we got a selection of episodes from each season. Dubbed “The Cast Playlist,” we got a look at the favorite episodes of the various cast members.

One of the episodes aired was Season 3’s “Uncharted.” Many will remember this episode for the 20-minute focus on Claire in the jungle, but it wasn’t Caitriona Balfe who added this episode to the list. Cesar Domboy and Lauren Lyle both agreed that this was their favorite episode.

This was an episode that was important for Domboy’s Fergus. It was a chance for him to fully grow up, continuing the journey he had started in the episode before. Fergus had just told Jamie that he wasn’t going to commit mutiny because it would put Marsali at risk. Even though it could have meant Jamie would never give Fergus his blessing to marry Marsali, Fergus was willing to risk it.

During “Uncharted,” Claire and Jamie were reunited. With a priest in the area, Fergus and Marsali could marry. It was a beautiful moment, made all the more special when Jamie confirmed that Fergus is a Fraser.

This was a huge moment for the two characters. Now we have Fergus and Marsali (ship name Fersali) together with a child of their own. They’re taking advise from Claire and Jamie about love and family.

More importantly, Domboy and Lyle share that some of the reasons for this episode being their favorite were due to the shooting. Things felt good for the entire cast, so the episode certainly left some positive memories for all.
