Sam Heughan at Wizard World New Orleans: Special VIP tickets available now

Looking for a chance to meet Sam Heughan? Wizard World New Orleans 2020 may be for you. VIP tickets are now available to purchase, but buyer beware.

Outlander fans who would love a chance to meet Sam Heughan get that at Wizard World New Orleans 2020. Special VIP tickets are already available, but I will caution buyer beware. Before I get into the “beware” part, let’s look at the tickets and everything you need to know about the appearance.

Wizard World New Orleans takes place during the first weekend of January. It could be the perfect Christmas gift for an Outlander fan near you or even for yourself. Heughan is only slated to be there on Saturday, Jan. 4, 2020, where he’ll host a 90-minute meet and greet for some special fans.

You’ll need to get an extra ticket for the 90-minute panel. If you only want to head to the panel, it’s just an extra $30 on top of your current Wizard World New Orleans ticket. However, there are extras that you can purchase.

Wizard World is offering Tier 1, Tier 2, and Platinum tickets for fans who want just a little more with Sam Heughan. Some of these tickets include a photo op for you, another adult and up to two children.

The Platinum ticket is $1,500. You’ll get access to everything Tier 1 gets, with the added bonus of a Platinum-only panel with Sam, an autograph, and a selfie. It’s going to be up to you if you spend that money.

What I will say is buyer beware. Schedules can change. While Outlander filming will have finished by this point, there will be plenty of promotion that STARZ will want to get the cast involved in. This could mean last-minute schedule changes. There’s also a chance that Sam Heughan takes on another movie, which completely changes his schedule in January and makes him unavailable.

While Wizard World was good at refunding costs in Chicago when Sam couldn’t make it, there’s no guarantee that this will happen again. The Sam-specific tickets will likely be refunded, but there’s also a chance that Wizard World offers a swap for something else or a credit for a future event instead.
