This is an excellent season to watch as an Outlander fan. Andrew Gower guest stars in the series, and he certainly likes to cause trouble against the Crown. You’ll need to check out the very first episode to see what he’s up to.

While the season has already aired in the UK, this is the first time people in North America is going to get a chance to watch (unless you’ve downloaded it from somewhere, of course!). Poldark Season 5’s premiere sees the newfound peace with the family disturbed when Ross’ former Army colonel, Ned Despard, reaches out for help.

Demelza is left in Cornwall to manage all their affairs. Usually, she’d be fine but there’s a new opponent causing problems. And for George, he’s trying to handle the loss of Elizabeth, which happened in the last episode.

There are certainly some storylines that will feel similar to Outlander. One of those is the discussion of slaves, while another is the growing tension and disenfranchised feeling of the people against the taxes and the government.
