Looking forward to seeing Caitriona Balfe in a hit blockbuster movie? She stars as Molly Miles in Ford v Ferrari. The trailer gives you a first look at her.

When we heard Caitriona Balfe would be in a movie with Christian Bale and Matt Damon, we were beyond excited. Now, we finally get a chance to see our Outlander leading lady in action in the Ford v Ferrari trailer.

Known as Le Manns ’66 in the UK and parts of Europe, Ford v Ferrari will tell the story of the lead up to the 1966 race. Everything is based on truth, but you know all that, right? Now you just want to see a first glimpse at Caitriona Balfe in the role.

There are two moments where she speaks but other glances at her character, Molly Miles. As the wife of Ken Miles (Christian Bale), it’s clear that she’s used to her husband’s attitude. When Ken and Carol Shelby start fighting outside the house, Molly just pulls up a deck chair and watches. This isn’t anything new or shocking to her, and in a way, I can see some of Claire Fraser in her when Jamie and Murtagh go at each other.

Another moment is when she’s questioning whether everything the guys have been doing is to win. It’s clear that Molly is 100% behind her husband’s dreams, which would suit history. Molly Miles was also a racing car driver. This will also remind you of Claire, who stood by Jamie to stop Culloden and then to try to change history and win Culloden. At least in Ford v Ferrari she’s not going to try to change history!

Even if you’re not a car or racing fan, this is going to be a movie to check out. This is more than just the race itself, but the journey to get there.
