Will Carnival Row be renewed for Season 2?

You’re likely looking for something to get through Droughtlander. Carnival Row is an excellent offering for Outlander fans, starring one of our own, Andrew Gower. If you’ve already made it to the end or you’ll be done with it by the weekend, you’ll want to know if there’s more.

Amazon announced shortly after SDCC 2019 that the show would be picked up for a second season. This was ahead of the release on Prime Video—more than a month ahead of it, in fact. The reception to the series leading up to it had already been strong, so it made sense to renew ahead of time.
This isn’t that uncommon for Amazon. The Boys was also recently renewed ahead of the first season debut. The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel Season 3 was picked up before Season 2 debuted and Jack Ryan was renewed for Season 2 ahead of the Season 1 released and then for Season 3 shortly after the Season 1 release.
What we don’t know is who will remain attached to the series. It’s likely that Orlando Bloom and Cara Delevingne will remain, but what about Outlander’s Andrew Gower?
He is one of the series regulars for the first season. His character plays an important part in the initial world development of the series. However, it’s all going to depend on how his character’s storyline ends during the first season. Will there be a character for the second season? I’m not sharing details here to avoid spoilers for those who are still to watch the series.
