Happy birthday, Romann Berrux: 5 best Young Fergus moments in Outlander
Outlander Season 2 brought us Young Fergus. To mark Romann Berrux’s 18th birthday, we’re looking back at his time on the show and his best five moments.
Romann Berrux may no longer be on Outlander but that doesn’t stop him from being part of the Sassenach family. He came into our lives at the beginning of Outlander Season 2 and has remained a special part of the fandom.
To celebrate Berrux’s 18th birthday, we’re taking a look back at his character, Young Fergus. Introduced to us as an orphan employed by Jamie to steal at the brothel, he quickly wormed his way into our and the Frasers’ hearts. Here are the top five Young Fergus moments throughout the show.
5. His need to fight
Fergus was a boy of his time. Kitchen and caring work were both women’s duties. At no point did he want to do any of it, no matter how much Claire and Jamie told him to.
In the Battle of Prestonpans, Fergus made it clear that he wanted to fight. It was an amusing moment as we got to see the influences he’d been around up to this point. We also got to see his inner strength and his willingness to put his life on the line for the Jacobite cause.
He snuck off to fight at Prestonpans. While he survived, he was in shock from everything that he saw. Fortunately, it doesn’t seem to have had any affect on him in the future, continuing to show that inner strength.
