5 best moments from Outlander Season 2, Episode 4
2. Jamie forgets the embarrassment when he learns about the attack
Jamie is understandably angry that Claire didn’t make it back in time for the dinner party. He’s embarrassed and just believes she’s gotten held up because of the hospital. Little does he know that there’s something more serious going on.
However, while he initially wants to shout at Claire, he quickly changes his tune. He can immediately tell that something has happened.
I love that we get to see these two sides to Jamie. We see him acting as the head of the household, but he also changes to being a caring man and loving husband when he needs to be. While there are times that he can’t shut off his anger, there are many times that he can just switch personalities.
1. Claire visits Master Raymond
I would love to know more about Master Raymond. I know there are short stories and there are plans for a book about him in the future, but I would love to learn more about him within the show. This is a man who clearly knows far more.
Like Geillis, I really wanted to see him just tell Claire the full truth. It’s surprising he doesn’t when he sees the blue light around her and is willing to later heal her sickness. However, at this point in the series, he’s trying to get an understanding of who she is.
I love the visit at his apothecary. He takes her to a back room, not just to protect them both from the seeing eyes of the king’s spies but also to protect her from others who would do her harm. He needs her to survive for some reason.
