Will Outlander Season 4 air on More4?
After airing first on Amazon Prime Video, Outlander has usually aired on More4 in the UK. Will that be the case for the current season? Will Outlander Season 4 air on More4?
Outlander airs the day after the U.S. release in the UK through Amazon Prime Video. The episodes are available with your Prime Video account and you can stream afterward to your heart’s content. Those who wait for it to air on network TV wait a couple of years to get it on More4. Now the question is whether Outlander Season 4 will air on More4.
I’d like to say yes, but there are lots of unknowns in the air right now. Virgin Media recently landed exclusive rights to air STARZPLAY in the UK. That includes all STARZ content, including Outlander. However, it didn’t change the anything for the Prime Video deal. Season 4 aired on Mondays on Prime Video as always.

That doesn’t mean More4 will still get the rights to air episodes weekly. It’s impossible to say a definite yes or no right now, as there’s nothing anywhere to confirm either way. STARZPLAY is exclusive to Virgin Media, but that doesn’t mean other networks won’t get a chance to air. Like in the U.S., STARZPLAY will come at an extra cost for Virgin Media customers — and only for Virgin Media customers.
It’s possible that More4 will still have the rights to air the episodes for those who don’t have Virgin Media. More4 is part of the Freeview system in the UK, meaning no extra costs and making the show available to the wider public.
We’ll get a better idea as to whether Outlander Season 4 will come to More4 by seeing what the network does about Season 3. Last summer saw the release of Season 2 because of how far behind UK TV is, so if Season 3 airs, we should expect Season 4.
