2. The handfasting

Brianna and Roger’s handfasting was a beautiful mirror of Claire and Jamie’s wedding night. The two became bound as one, promising to eventually marry each other within a year and a day. It was romantic and sweet, showing us the love the two have for each other.

And then there was the consummation of this relationship. Brianna and Roger gave everything of themselves to each other. And like with Claire and Jamie, there was the moment afterward where they made sure it was good for each other. We had one virgin and one experienced, both reveling in how this moment was perfect for them.

Sure, it was followed on with a downward spiral, but this moment was important. It was Brianna’s best night of her life until it was the worst.

1. Claire and Jamie work as a team

While I could say that Claire’s surgery was the best part of Outlander Season 4, Episode 8, there was more to this moment. It was the two working as a team. Jamie needed to get to Murtagh and Claire offered this much-needed distraction.

Sure, it was Claire saving a man’s life yet again, but this surgery was full of purpose. She was treating a man in needed help while also giving Jamie the time he eneded to save the day elsewhere. No questions were asked; Claire just immediately sent Jamie on his way to warn Murtagh while she gave him the extra time he needed by taking care with the stitches.

It’s been a long time that we’ve seen the two work as a team in this way. Plus, we got a chance to see a major scene from the books transformed on the screen with some differences.

It shouldn’t be surprising to hear that the handfasting and Claire saving the life of a man are two of TV Time users’ best moments.
