Outlander Season 4, Episode 6 split the story between Jamie bonding with Willie and Claire treating Lord John Grey. Throughout the Jamie portion, we got a chance to see him get to know the son barely anyone knows about.

It was a powerful performance throughout. Whether it was just teaching Willie about hunting or protecting him from the Cherokee warriors, Sam Heughan delivered throughout. Here are my top five moments from “Blood of My Blood.”

5. Telling Murtagh the truth

One of the things Murtagh asked in Outlander Season 2 was not to be lied to. He hated that Jamie and Claire were keeping secrets from him. So I’m glad that when Murtagh outright asked if Willie was Jamie’s son, Jamie admitted to it.

There was the request not to tell anyone, but that was all. Sure, Jamie didn’t go into details but then wasn’t the time. He was honest with his godfather and that’s all Murtagh has asked for. While it’s clear the tensions between them will be high in the future as they sit on opposite sides of the current situation, they also know they can trust each other.
