2. Seeing Murtagh as a Regulator

After the first reunion, we finally got to find out what Murtagh is doing now. He’s more than a blacksmith (and a smith of other metals, because he’s going to make the special something Jamie wants). This is a man who is leading another rebellion.

The storyline is perfect. It gives Murtagh his own tale and continues the growth from the first three seasons. This realistic storyline gives us our warrior Murtagh again and this time puts him in as a leader of men, something we knew all along he could be.

What’s going to be interesting is what this leads to. After all, Murtagh and Jamie are currently on opposite sides of the growing tensions.

1. Connecting with Adawehi

Another moment that was in my best Claire moments was that scene at the beginning of Outlander Season 4, Episode 5. Claire and Adawehi are talking, as Claire learns more about the herbs in the area and the Cherokee words.

It’s a bittersweet moment by the time you get to the end of the episode. We’re given a scene to show that Claire cares for Adawehi to make us feel worse when Claire is given Adawehi’s scalp at the end.

However, there’s a moment in that first scene that stands out. Adawehi tells Claire that “she is here,” talking about Brianna. Claire covers her heart, confirming that Brianna will always be with her in spirit. We all know Adawehi actually meant Brianna was in the past.
