4. Brianna goes through the stones

Brianna has dressed in what she believes will pass as 18th-century clothing and has gone through the stones. This was special for two reasons.

The first is the connection to the letter. She lets Roger know where she is, but she didn’t want him finding out for a year. There’s that beautiful moment of seeing her go through the stones as Roger reads the letter.

The second reason is because of the bracelet. It’s hard to miss as Brianna fiddles with it, but it’s that connection back to Roger. It’s clear he means the world to her and she’s taking a piece of him to the past.

3. Roger trying to find Brianna

Learning that Brianna had come to Scotland to see her mother, Roger went straight to Inverness to find her. He needed to get to Brianna before she went through the stones, which meant traipsing around the town.

My favorite moment of his was at Baird’s B&B. We get that connection to the Outlander pilot while seeing the 1970s owner. At one point, there’s a defeated look on his face and then Miss. Baird takes pity and gives him the letter early. She can tell he needs to know where she’s gone now.
