1. Watching Roger perform

While at the festival, Brianna is just enjoying life. She has Roger by her side and she’s enjoying everything about the event, even dressed in something that would otherwise be completely unfashionable at the time.

However, it’s all about the moment Roger sings. Brianna has the portrait for the two of them in her bag, the only photo they have of each other. As Roger sings the beautiful song, “The False Bride,” Brianna looks at him in wonder and awe and glances down at the portrait.

It’s clear that she has some mixed emotions right now. She wants to take the relationship with Roger a step further, but at the same time, she’s not sure what she wants out of life. Does she really want to marry after hearing what happened to Claire? There’s always that fear of “what if.”

Yet, it’s in the moment that she knows she feels something for Roger. You can tell she’s falling for him, but there’s something holding her back, allowing for some foreshadowing for the things to come at the end of the episode.
