5 best moments in the Outlander Season 4 premiere
4. Fergus and Marsali’s pregnancy announcement
One of my personal favorite moments in the premiere was how the show handled Fergus and Marsali’s storyline. In the novel, they’re left behind in Jamaica but they were both on the ship to Scotland when the storm hit. The writers managed to quickly add in the pregnancy (the reason they remained behind in the books) without taking too much away from the whole story.
Claire’s face was also a picture. While everyone was shocked in a happy way, Claire wasn’t really that certain how to react. The last we, as viewers, had seen them, Marsali admitted that she didn’t want to get pregnant yet. It wouldn’t be surprising if Claire thought that was still the case four months later.
I don’t think there were ill thoughts or jealousy from Claire. To me, Claire’s reaction was one of concern and surprise.
3. The introduction of Rollo
That puppy is just so adorable. Well, okay, he’s more than a puppy in the series, but he is just downright cute and I adored the introduction to him.
As Claire and Jamie got the money and headed back to the bar after selling the ruby, Young Ian waited outside with a new companion. It was clear this young boy was smitten. I’ve got to admit that the pup was extremely well-behaved too. As the owner of a few-month-old Husky, there’s no way I’d get my pup to do everything Rollo did. My pup is a food fiend.
One moment I adored was the reasoning behind his name. While book fans have known about this, show-only fans may have overlooked the reasoning behind Rollo’s name and it was fun.
This was something else the TV Time users loved.
