5 best Claire moments in the Outlander Season 4 premiere

There were some beautiful moments throughout the Outlander Season 4 premiere and Claire had some excellent scenes. Here are my favorite five Claire moments for #WomanCrushWednesday.

After looking at Jamie’s best moments for #ManCrushMonday, I’m using #WomanCrushWednesday as a chance to look back at the Claire moments from new Outlander episodes. And it’s all about the Outlander Season 4 premiere this week.

There were some beautiful and memorable moments. The “best” moments aren’t always going to be happy ones on my list. They’re the most meaningful and stand out for various reasons. Sometimes you may see moments that are awful for the character but have a layer of intricacy and foreshadowing to them.

Here are my top five Claire moments from the Outlander Season 4 premiere.

5. Claire’s reaction to Fergus and Marsali’s news

While everyone else congratulated Fergus and Marsali on the news that Marsali was expecting, there was an element of false happiness from Claire. She looked almost as if she was disappointed in the news.

I don’t think she was disappointed, which is why this is one of my favorite moments. Marsali had confessed to Claire that she didn’t want to get pregnant right away. She wanted to have some fun with her new husband first. It’s not surprising that just four months later, Claire is shocked to hear that Marsali is pregnant.

There are chances that Marsali got her contraception tips from Claire up to this point. Claire may have hoped that Marsali would talk to her before choosing to come off the no-way-100-percent-effective contraception.

Once Marsali admitted that it was a surprise to the two of them, Claire relaxed a little. She wasn’t thrilled since things were still in the air but she was certainly not disappointed.
