Any tension between Claire and Jamie? At this point, the couple is stronger than ever. Claire and Jamie are surrounded by their family, and they are in a good place together. The tension they face is linked to why Jamie needs Claire’s help.

Why it’s the best: Up to this point, we’d struggled with Claire and Jamie wanting different things. They’d faced different experiences throughout their 20 years apart that it made it difficult for them to find their way back to one another once they were in the same time period again.

Outlander Season 5, Episode 1 sees the two of them completely on the same page. The two just want what’s best for each other and their family.

We get to see Jamie treat Claire as his partner again. He listens to her for advice, but in the end, he makes a decision for himself. He realizes what he needs to do and Claire doesn’t argue.
