4. The night Jamie took Claire to the stones

When it happened: Season 1, Episode 11

Any tension between Claire and Jamie? This wasn’t really tension. The two just believed it may be their last night together, especially Jamie who didn’t know which choice Claire was going to make.

Why it’s the best: Culloden wasn’t the first time Jamie took Claire to Craig na Dun. After learning the truth about time travel, Jamie took Claire to the stones and allowed her to return to Frank. However, that wasn’t without a beautiful and loving moment.

Jamie decided he wanted one more night to feel and be with his wife. He wanted a night that would please her, once again making him selfless. Even when Claire wanted more from him, he wouldn’t give her it, making sure the pleasure was all hers. It was intimate and passionate, everything that their life would be together.

And in a way, this would help to build that bond further. Their love was like no other and it was clear in this moment that Claire felt more than she ever did for Frank. It should have been clear in this moment that Claire was always going to choose Jamie.
