Outlander: 25 best Claire and Jamie moments thus far
14. The talk under the moonlight
When it happened: Season 5, Episode 4
Any tension between Claire and Jamie? The tension is within the situation around them. Claire and Jamie are seeing eye to eye on a lot of important topics at this point.
Why it’s the best: Up to this point, it’s been difficult to see Claire and Jamie together. They don’t always see eye to eye, and the 20-year separation has led to them having vastly different experiences. Life together on the Ridge has certainly helped them come back together and find a comfort within one another.
The discussion under the moonlight at Brownsville makes it clear that the two are at a point of comfort and understanding. Jamie wants to offer Claire the world, and if that means another baby, then so be it.
As flattered and happy as Claire is, she also makes it clear that she’s happy with life the way it is. Sure, they didn’t get the chance to raise Brianna together, but Bree is with them now. They’ve got Fergus and Marsali with them and their grandchildren. There’s all sorts of good, so why disrupt that with a newborn?
They both think of each other and of their future together. And it’s great to see them on the same page.
