What it’s about: Based on the novel of the same name by Harlan Coben, the story is about a lawyer who is called in when a body has been found. That body may or may not be connected to a case from 25 years ago, a case that involved the lawyer’s sister.
Throughout the story, we learn what happened more than two decades earlier, Pawel gets some answers he’s always needed, and some other secrets of the past return. There are some dark turns, but it’s a fully fleshed-out murder mystery.
Why watch it: Initially, it wouldn’t seem like there’s much in common between a murder mystery and Outlander. The thing that will draw you in here is how the story is told with two different time frames. As we get the story of the present day, we learn about the events of the past.
Time travel and the mixing of time periods is something Outlander fans love. You’ll be drawn in as you come to work out the full story on The Woods.
On top of that are great writing and good character development. Of course, you’ll want to figure out if your suspicions are right.
