Outlander’s Brianna and Roger is taking over CarterMatt’s Shiptober

October means it’s all about the ships over at CarterMatt. Outlander’s Brianna and Roger take on the only One Chicago crossover couple on the list for today’s Shiptober, but who will come out on top?

CarterMatt likes to have fandom awards on a regular basis and October is Shiptober months. This is the month that the relationships go head-to-head. Claire and Jamie have already gone up against Criminal Minds‘ Garcia and Alvez and now it’s time for Outlander‘s Brianna and Roger to face off against One Chicago‘s Brett and Antonio.

There are reasons for people to vote both couples and has a fan of both fandoms, I do find this one hard. Brettonio is the couple I want to see succeed in the One Chicago franchise and the only One Chicago crossover couple on the list for CarterMatt this year.

Meanwhile, Brianna and Roger have this newness about them. While they’ve been in the books for two decades, they’ve only just been introduced on the screen. This could bring more people on board the ship but could also lead to some uncertainty over whether it could work.

Voting for your ship is easy and free. You just go to the CarterMatt page right here and click on your couple of choice towards the bottom. It’s possible to vote as much as you want. At the time of me voting (I did choose Brianna and Roger in the end), 82% of the votes were in favor of the newest couple out there.

Why did I end up voting for Brianna and Roger? Well, I love the couple from the books. While small elements will change in the show, the big picture isn’t. I believe the show has honored the characters and that’s the way it’s going to continue moving forward so I have a lot of hope for Brianna and Roger, especially with such a difficult season ahead for them.

You’ve got until Oct. 12 at 1 p.m. PST to vote for your favorite couple until Shiptober moves onto the next round of voting.

You can also still vote for Claire and Jamie against Garcia and Alvez. At the time that I voted for the Frasers, they were winning with 85% of the vote. Interestingly, if the two Outlander couples continue to win their rounds in Shiptober, they could face each other in the finals. Who will win out?
