Outlander Season 1, Episode 6 shows us Black Jack Randall’s true colors and gives Claire a little more hope (at least, at first). What were the best moments from the episode?

Claire and Black Jack Randall faced off against each other in Outlander Season 1, Episode 6. It didn’t end well and Claire’s initial glimmer of hope disappeared by the end.

What this episode did do was bring us to that moment we were waiting for: Claire and Jamie’s marriage contract was created. While it wasn’t what Claire wanted at the time, it would eventually become the best thing to happen to her.

So, with all that in mind, it’s time to look at the best moments from Outlander Season 1, Episode 6, titled “The Garrison Commander.

5. Dougal being there for Claire

Regardless of how he felt about her at first, this episode made us realize that Dougal did have some fondness for the Sassenach. He could never say it out loud but he was proud to know her.

My favorite moment of Dougal’s has to be at the very beginning. As Dougal and Jeremy argue with each other, Claire puts them straight. She makes it extremely clear they are acting like children. Thomas is impressed that she has this ability to order men around.

While I love Thomas’ reaction, it’s Dougal’s that really stands out. He’s clearly proud that Thomas has noticed Claire’s ability to order men about.
