Tobias Menzies is a wonderful actor, taking on two distinctively different roles in Outlander. Outside of the series, which roles stand out the most? Here are his 10 greatest roles so far.

There’s no denying that Tobias Menzies is an excellent actor. He is a chameleon, taking on any role with ease and delivering a believable performance. Sometimes that realism can be scary, especially when it comes to the sadist that is Black Jack Randall.

When Tobias was cast in two roles of Outlander, it’s no surprise that he delivered both well. We could have known that from his previous roles outside of the series. Everything he has done, he has managed to deliver 100%. You forget the actor and completely believe this character.

It seems surprising that Tobias has only been acting since 2000. I would have thought it much longer. Yes, that’s almost 20 years, but I could have pictured him acting back in the early 90s. However, since 2000, the London-born actor has not been out of work thanks to his willingness to take on challenging roles.

Those roles have paid off. Personally, I’m looking forward to him stepping into Matt Smith’s shoes as Prince Philip in The Crown Seasons 3 and 4.
