Outlander showrunner Matt B. Roberts can’t wait for you to see this one moment
There’s a very special moment in Outlander Season 4 that showrunner Matt B. Roberts can’t wait for you to see. Now that filming is wrapped, he’s giving you a clue.
Outlander Season 4 is going to be full of exciting, shocking, amusing, and loving moments. There are certain parts of “Drums of Autumn” that fans hope will make it to the series. Some of them we already know will happen, such as the infamous bear killing scene. However, there are others that we just don’t know. While there are plenty of moments you can’t wait to see, there’s one in particular Outlander showrunner Matt B. Roberts can’t wait for you to see.
During a Q&A session on Twitter, Roberts confirmed that there was one special moment that he enjoyed filming the most. He called it “The Meeting,” which is clearly code that all Outlander fans should be able to guess. There’s one specific meeting that is about to take place in the season.
It has to be when Brianna and Jamie meet for the very first time. And note that he’s called it “The Meeting.” Later in the Q&A, Roberts is quick to point out that it’s not a “reunion” because the two have never met. Margaret Campbell channeling Brianna doesn’t count as a meeting, so it really is a “meeting.”

This is a moment that many “Drums of Autumn” fans are looking forward to seeing playing out on screen. The scenes were filmed during the second half of the season, suggesting that Brianna won’t get to the 18th-century Colonial period until then. However, Roberts also points out that they film out of sequence, so the scene could, in fact, appear earlier. Those who haven’t read the books are also looking forward to this point since it was clear from photo spoilers on Twitter that Brianna would head to the past.
