As Caitriona Balfe wrapped another day of Outlander filming, she thanked a few cast members. She also tagged a Once Upon a Time star that had us yearning for a crossover all over again.

If you’re anything like me, you’ve made the mistake Caitriona Balfe made last night. While thanking her colleagues for another round of filming, she tagged the wrong person. This was an interesting accident, which had us yearning for a Once Upon a Time and Outlander crossover all over again. It also gave us another idea of how the season is going to end, as the actors are another day closer to wrapping filming.

Instead of tagging Colin MacFarlane, Balfe accidentally tagged Once Upon a Time star Colin O’Donoghue. The two British actors are friends, so it’s easy to see how the mistake was made. Suggested tags automatically come up and sometimes you just don’t double check who you’ve included. What made this one interesting is that O’Donoghue played Captain Hook on the fairy tale series, which aired its Series Finale earlier this year.

Of course, Outlander Season 4 includes pirates. There were questions and wishes from fans of the two shows (and of O’Donoghue) that Hook join in and maybe take down Stephen Bonnet for everyone else.

Well, it’s not happening. Fortunately, everyone has taken it as the joke that it was and Balfe quickly retweeted something O’Donoghue tweeted out with the hashtag #StartingRumours. Richard Rankin and O’Donoghue quickly started a discussion between themselves, joking about how O’Donoghue kept his involvement on the series quiet (even quiet from himself).

Unfortunately, a crossover between Once Upon a Time and Outlander isn’t going to happen. Well, it realistically never would. What’s more important is, unfortunately, Colin O’Donoghue isn’t involved in Outlander Season 4. He’s also not joining the cast, at least not yet! There’s always hope for the fifth season. You just never know!
