Wizard World Chicago getting even more Outlander with more added guests
As if the last set of Outlander guests wasn’t enough, Wizard World Chicago has added two more. It’s time for Diana Gabaldon’s universe to take over the convention.
When many of us first got tickets for Wizard World Chicago, we did it off the basis that only Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe were attending. Since then, the convention has become even more Outlander and now two more added guests make it look like Diana Gabaldon’s universe is taking over. And we are definitely not complaining!
Richard Rankin and Lotte Verbeek are the latest guests added to Wizard World Chicago. They join the main stars, author Diana Gabaldon, Graham McTavish, and Sophie Skelton. The two will attend Saturday and Sunday, which is when the majority of other Outlander guests are attending. Photo ops and autographs with the two will also be available.
This is excellent for those looking for the Outlander group package, which has been extended to include all guests. While it is just short of $1,000 for the whole weekend, it includes admission to all four days of the con, a swag bag from the universe, and photo and autographing ops from every single Outlander guest in attendance. This includes the two latest added. It doesn’t say if others will be added in if more guests from the world are added to the con, so you’ll need to check details if that happens.

While this does sound like more than the official Creation Ent cons, it’s worth noting that the Gold packages at the Creation Ent cons don’t include photos and autographs with every single guest. In fact, photos aren’t included with the majority of the guests in the higher tier packages.
You can still get the Gold VIP packages for just Heughan’s, Balfe’s, or as a duo if you would like to keep the costs down. These includes photos and autographs of just the named cast members. There’s also an option for Diana Gabaldon and don’t forget that there is the option for the Craig na Dun backdrop at an extra cost.
