Diana Gabaldon may be traveling at the moment, but that doesn’t stop her from posting Outlander Book 9 Daily Lines. She also has a few messages for those wondering if she’s close to the end.

If you haven’t seen it on her Facebook page or Twitter feed, Diana Gabaldon is currently traveling. She’s been on a cruise down the Danube, stopping off in Prague and spending time at some of the Outlander Season 2 filming locations (yes, some of the Paris scenes were filmed in Prague). However, while traveling, she’s still working and even shared some Outlander Book 9 Daily Lines with an update on her progress.

Understandably, people are a little impatient for the next book. Gabaldon is still actively working on “Go Tell the Bees that I Am Gone” and has said she’s reduced her public appearances this year to make sure she finishes. She’s also promised that she won’t be like George R.R. Martin, whose books are now behind the series Game of Thrones.

More from Outlander Fandom

But that doesn’t mean she’s anywhere near completion on Outlander Book 9. The Daily Lines for “Bees” are there to help us with the wait, but she has a few hashtags to share in the meantime. One of the hashtags from June 7 was #IllTellYouWhenWereGettingClose. She also makes a point in saying that this is a big book, just like the other ones. Big books take time to plan and write. However, she does say in other Daily Lines that the writing is coming along.

June 7’s snippet certainly includes some minor spoilers. There are also plenty of bracketed moments, which Gabaldon says is just to cut out a lot of the details. After all, she doesn’t want to give too much away!

If you want to catch another snippet of Outlander Book 9, the Daily Lines about Roger MacKenzie are below. There are spoilers if you’re not caught up with the books–including “Drums of Autumn!”
