Left Bank Pictures is known to Claire and Jamie fans as one of the production companies attached to Outlander, but now it’s taking on a sci-fi production for YouTube Red.

If you’re ever interested in the other works by production companies, you’ll certainly find yourself drawn into this one. Left Bank Pictures, which is part of the Outlander production team, has taken on a new project. Planned as a YouTube Red Original, the sci-fi series is called Origin and tells the tale of a group of strangers stranded in space.

Starring Natalie Tena and Tom Felton (both of Harry Potter fame), the series sees the two with others on a ship heading to another planet. They’ll need to all work together to survive, but, as you would expect, not everyone is who they say they are. The series has been ordered for 10 episodes and will air on YouTube Red later this year.

The downside? Not everyone will get the chance to see it on the platform. YouTube Red is currently only available in certain countries, including the United States, Australia, Korea, New Zealand, and Mexico.

Left Bank Pictures is a British child company of Sony. Also known for The Crown and Strike Bank, the company only formed in 2007 and it was really The Crown that helped to completely change the face of the company. The company is one that you will likely hear of the least when looking into Outlander, since Sony and Tall Ships Production are the two most commonly named. Story Mining and Supply Company also has a stake in the production.
