#4. Claire learning the events

The Outlander Season 2 premiere is confusing for some. It followed the idea of a time jump to kick-start the season, although the book opted for a 1960s time jump instead of a 1940s one. However, the time jump told us everything we needed to know about how the season was going to finish. Claire would step through the stones and learn the truth about Culloden.

Caitriona Balfe handled this moment amazingly. As Claire, she curled in on herself and mourned the loss of her husband, almost clinging to the life that was growing inside of her; all that was left of Jamie at the time.

#3. Choosing between two men

No, this isn’t about choosing between Jamie and Frank. She had to choose who would die between Master Raymond and Comte St. Germain. The choice should have been easy and there would be plenty of people out there who would choose the Comte. After all, he tried to poison her! However, she remained true to herself and found a way to fix a problem.

Using Master Raymond’s own trickery, she didn’t give the two men poison. Of course, Master Raymond tricked her back and Claire was clearly distraught knowing that her actions would lead to the death of a man. However, she remained calm, composed, and did everything she would need to get Jamie out of the Bastille and get away from France.
