Another Outlander companion book is hopefully coming
The Outlander companion books are the perfect way to delve deeper into the series and novels. A book for Season 3 and 4 will hopefully be on its way.
Outlander Season 4 isn’t even out yet and there’s already another companion book in the works. The companion books are fun parts for book and show fans alike. They delve deeper into the world created, along with sharing some of the changes from book to show.
Tara Bennett is the mastermind behind the official companion book for the first two seasons, delving into the making of the series. Now she’s mentally planning a book for Seasons 3 and 4. Putting a call out on Twitter, she shared that she’s looking for ideas to include. What do the fans want?
The question was pushed out in the middle of the month, highlighting the news that there is hopefully another book in the works. Bennett wants to know what fans would like to see, although there are some limitations. When one fan asked for full pages of Sam Heughan, Bennett joked that would be an entirely different book. The topic then moved onto more interviews from Heughan, but something like that would depend on the actor’s time.

There was one request about delving into the day in the life of an extra, but it turns out that’s not possible either. The license wouldn’t support that, and it’s not that interesting. Bennett has been an extra in the past and shares it’s mostly just sitting around.
One thing that did come up that could be included is the filming of the ships. That is certainly something that many fans questioned when watching the series, with some of the behind-the-scenes clips showing the use of an indoor deep-water pool for some of the scenes.
