Outlander fans looking to survive Droughtlander can catch Tobias Menzies in The Terror, an all new AMC series premiering later this month.

Every Outlander fan knows that our wait until Season 4 has been rather painful. To pass the time between now and then, fans are forced to look for other ways to keep entertained. For many of us, that means keeping up with the stars from the show on their other ventures.

That brings us to The Terror, the upcoming mini-series that needs to be on the radar of Outlander fans. Tobias Menzies, who played “Black Jack” and Frank Randall on the show for three seasons, is heading to AMC for his next TV project, based on a 2007 novel of the same name. And it seems to be quite the departure from Outlander!

In this ten-episode series, the year is 1847, and the Royal Navy is on a voyage to find the Northwest Passage. However, what they find instead isn’t good, as they’re threatened by not just the elements, but whatever else is waiting for them in these uncharted waters. It looks just as freezing as it does horrifying, and you can check out the trailer for the show in the video below.

When we last saw Menzies, he was getting killed off as Frank Randall, giving us two death scenes from the actor in one season. There are suggestions that he could come back in some way for Season 4, but nothing concrete yet. Will he be able to survive The Terror? If you ask me, things aren’t looking very good. You can say that the show is appropriately named as it certainly looks pretty freaky, and yet, I’m sure I’m going to be watching every episode starting with the premiere.
