Diana Gabaldon shared major Outlander Season 4 spoiler
Fans who haven’t read Drums of Autumn will have had a major part of Outlander Season 4 spoiled by author Diana Gabaldon, despite showrunner Matthew B. Roberts being disappointed in photos on social media.
There are spoilers in this post for Outlander Season 4 based on “Drums of Autumn.”
It’s not easy for an Outlander fan if you want to remain unspoiled for Season 4. Not only are photos of filming giving away major storylines, but so is book series creator Diana Gabldon. During her daily lines last week, she shared a major spoiler about Brianna and Jamie from “Drums of Autumn,” which Season 4 is based on.
Granted, Gabaldon was doing nothing out of the ordinary. She was just sharing a line from her fourth novel, while writing her ninth. Most of those following her would have likely already read the books. If they hadn’t, they’re like me and already know the major storyline that’s coming in Outlander Season 4.

However, the reveal comes just days after series showrunner Matthew B. Roberts shared his disappointment in the photos of filming being shared on Twitter. Photos of Sophie Skelton filming made their way to Twitter, making it clear that Brianna was definitely going to end up in the past. It is a huge part of the books and not fans would have expected it if they hadn’t read the books first. He was disappointed that this was ruined for those.

Gabaldon shared daily lines from “Drums of Autumn” that involved Jamie and Brianna together. Claire and Jamie had previous stated that this would eventually happen, but the post was marked as a spoiler one, so not everyone will have read. Oh and Gabaldon does question why you haven’t read the novel yet and warns people that her #DailyLines post contains spoilers.
