What’s the most romantic thing the Outlander cast has done for each other? [VIDEO]

If you know only one thing about Outlander, it’s that it’s one of the most epic love stories of all time. So it’s no shocker that three of the couples on the show have some pretty unbelievably over-the-top sweet things for each other.

Watch as the cast members of Outlander share what they think is the most romantic thing their character has done.

Claire and Jamie

Sam Heughan (who plays Jamie Fraser) believes that the most romantic thing that Claire has done for Jamie was to give him a child. Squeee, so cute! When Sam ventured into something romantic that Jamie has done he recalls when his character gave Claire his mothers pearls on their wedding night. Caitriona Balfe (who plays Claire) thinks it’s simply a bath.

“Jamie has given Claire a lot of things,” Heughan laughed.

I personally think Jamie marrying Claire in the first place was pretty romantic, but what do I know? 

Fergus and Marsali

No one can light a candle to the love that Jamie and Claire share, but there are two storylines that do come close. One of those is the relationship between Fergus and Marsali which we see develop in season three. The actors, Cesar Domboy and Lauren Lyle, refer to their relationship as a “romantic adventure” and both agree that getting on the boat together is pretty romantic. Cesar also thinks that the scene where Marsali cleans Fergus’ stump is particularly moving.

Brianna and Roger

You could not complete a love story without including the daughter of the Jamie and Claire, and her budding courtship with Roger currently has us on the edge of our seats. Sophie Skelton (Bree) believes that Roger’s biggest act of love was tracking down Jamie for her and her mother. Richard Rankin (who plays Roger) says that his character does a romantic thing every day when he is with Brianna, but she probably doesn’t notice.
