Outlander voted best show of 2017 by Spoiler TV users as fans rally behind Starz series

With the help of its vocal fandom, Outlander managed to emerge as a breakout favorite among Spoiler TV’s annual Best Of Television rankings!

Every year, Spoiler TV turns to its millions of readers to compile a list which reflects the best and worst shows, characters, actors and more from the past year. Through its annual campaign, the Spoiler TV team asks readers to submit their votes for a variety of categories so that it may determine and honor the best of the best (as well as the worst of the worst).

Following an extended wait period in which the votes cast were tallied up, Spoiler TV officially unveiled its Best and Worst of 2017 list this week and Outlander fans have quite a lot to celebrate!

While there is no denying that the Outlander fandom has quickly has quickly become one of the most loyal and vocal fandoms around, 2017 was one of the most crowded years for television with 487 original airing during the span of the year. With so many shows vying for voters’ attention, the options for the poll were endless and the battle was sure to be hard-fought as fans chimed in to rally behind their personal favorites.

Luckily, Outlander fans are always up for a challenge and quickly rallied behind the series, its stars and its beloved characters to help the show claim countless spots on this year’s Best Of list!

Among the most notable title won by the show was the title of 2017’s Best Drama, a well-earned victory given the show’s stellar third season and the performances given by its stars. Speaking of the cast, Sam Heugan managed to pick up the title as 2017’s Best Actor in a Drama race while Caitriona Balfe picked up the No. 2 honor for Best Actress in a Drama, following The Handmaid’s Tale star Elisabeth Moss who secured the top spot.

The love for Heugan portrayal of Jamie Fraser also helped Jamie to secure the honor of the Best Character in a Drama for 2017 while the Claire and Jamie managed to secure the award for Best Couple of 2017!

In addition to its many victories in this year’s Best Of rankings, Outlander managed to take the No. 2 spot in three additional titles with The Frasers coming up second to This Is Us‘ Pearson clan as the Best TV Family of 2017, secured the No. 2 spot for the Best Wedding of the Year with Fergus and Marsali’s nuptials and ranked as second in this 2017’s Guilty Pleasure race.

All in all, it was an incredible showing for Outlander and stand as yet another example of how strong the fandom is and has become!
