Outlander Season 4 isn’t just seeing new actors but also new directors join.

Every year there are a few changes behind the scenes at Outlander. Last season, new writers were welcomed on board, with fans mixed on opinions once they watched the episodes. New actors also joined the series. Now Season 4 isn’t just getting new actors, but also new directors. Co-Executive Producer Maril Davis welcomed one of those on set.

Over the weekend, Davis shared a photo with director Denise Di Novi. They were together with the beautiful Scottish scenery in the background and Novi instantly received a warm welcome from fans of the show. Fellow Co-Executive Producer and showrunner Matthew B. Roberts tweeted to say that Novi is “fabulously talented,” and he certainly isn’t wrong.

While she’s new to Outlander, Novi is definitely not new to the entertainment business. She’s worked on a number of TV shows and movies, including The Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants, If I Stay and Catwoman. Still not convinced? She also has works like The Nightmare Before Christmas, Edward Scissorhands and the most recent Beaches. While most of her works are as a producer, she has proven her abilities to direct TV shows, taking the reins on Episode 6 in the final season of Bones.

This is a woman who has produced all types of genres. Whether it’s romance, comedy, drama or horror, she has proven her abilities to create beautiful and intricate storytelling. Fans should be excited to see her work on Outlander.

And she won’t be the only new director, if Davis’ tweet is anything to judge. The comment to the photo said “one of our new directors.”

So far, the series has been quiet on casting and news. It’s coming out in drips and drabs to make sure fans get something to make it through Droughtlander.
