All the Outlander conventions you need to know about in 2018
Want to go to an Outlander convention or just see one of the stars? These are the dates to put in your diary.
Whether you fell in love with the books or show first, there are convention events coming up that will excite you. Caitriona Balfe and Sam Heughan’s schedules are already becoming packed, but they’re not the only Outlander stars you can see. Here’s all the Outlander conventions you need to know about in 2018.

Each convention will set its own schedule and pricing. One of the most expensive I’ve found is the Creation con, although fans of other fandoms have said it’s worth the money. Sasnak City Gathering certainly has the most expensive higher-end packages, but when you look through what you get they are certainly worthwhile. It’s likely why the tickets for the higher-end packages are already completely sold out.
Some of the conventions aren’t just Outlander. Wizard Con, for example, is a multi-universe convention. Some of the other guests attending include Buffy the Vampire Slayers‘s James Marsters, Charmed‘s Holly Marie Combs and The Avengers‘ Sebastian Stan. There will also be literary and comic guests, along with a lot of cosplayers.
You may notice that San Diego Comic Con isn’t on the list yet. So far, Outlander isn’t confirmed for the event. It’s likely that at least Sam Heughan, Caitriona Balfe and the showrunners will be there since Season 4 is confirmed, but there’s been no official word. Plus, it’s impossible to get tickets for the event now, as they sold out towards the end of last year! Yes, SDCC is extremely popular.
Most of the conventions will have panels, autograph sessions, and photo opportunities. Some of these will be included in the price of your convention ticket and others you’ll need to pay extra for. Wizard Con, for example, offers a package option if you’d like to get a photo with both Balfe and Heughan, while Creation offers a package deal with all guests for autographs but the photos you have to get separately.
