There will be various lines you’ll remember throughout Outlander. While some episodes have more than others, there are always going to be those that will be quoted time and time again by fans. Outlander Season 3, Episode 9 is no different. Here is a look at the XX best lines from the night.

I’ll tell everyone Fergus has already bedded me. He hasn’t, but I’ll do it anyway.

Marsali knows the best way to manipulate Jamie is to threaten him with her honor. When Jamie refuses to allow Marsali to join Fergus on their journey to Jamaica, Marsali offers him an ultimatum. She will either be married or ruined, and it’s up to Jamie which one that will be. Everyone knows which one Jamie will choose as the honorable man.

More from Claire and Jamie

This girl is every bit her mother. She is angry at the way her mother was pushed aside and makes her hatred for Claire clear, but her age plays a huge part. It will be interesting to see where this goes in the show.

If you were forced to marry Milady, then I am forced to breathe.

Fergus certainly has a way with words. Rather than argue with Jamie about Marsali, he tries to get Jamie to understand the similarities in their relationships. Fergus has heard all about how madly in love Jamie was with Claire. While the marriage to her was arranged, he still loved her and would have done it anyway. Fergus feels the exact same way.

There’s the glimpse that Fergus may act like he enjoys sleeping around, but he does have a heart. Never judge a book by its cover.

The whore should have the bigger bed then, shouldn’t she?

Claire and Marsali are forced to share a cabin, which means tension and arguments. At least, that’s what it means at first. It looks like the two could eventually get along, as Marsali realizes Claire isn’t just there to make her mother’s life a misery. However, the initial scene in the cabin certainly sets the tone.

Rather than completely argue with the young girl, Claire decides to let her believe her mother’s truth to the story. It’s much easier to get through the journey to Jamaica.

For the love of woman, I am come to a place where no woman is worthy of love, to a place where women are coarse and rank as bears, creatures of no grace. And these women disdain me as a yellow worm, so that even the lowest of whores will not lie with me!

It’s hard not to feel for Mr. Willoughby. To prevent the overthrowing of Duncan Hayes, the Jonah, Willoughby decides to tell his story. It starts off sweet and then fans learn just how much like Claire he is. They both come from worlds apart, but experienced similar disdain and distrust. Both had Jamie to help avoid trouble and starvation. While Mr. Willoughby’s speech was a little sexist, it was perfect for the time period.

There’s this feeling that his view of women doesn’t apply to Claire. She has always been interested in and kind to him. He sees that there is hope.

You look like a pincushion

While book lovers knew Jamie’s cure for seasickness, show-only fans didn’t. Claire tried to give him ginger tea, but it was Mr. Willoughby to the rescue with acupuncture. When Claire finds out, she can’t help but laugh at the sight of the needles in him, despite being respectful of the Chinese medicine in front of Willoughby.

It’s even sweeter that Jamie is keeping it from her to save her pride. This scene showed where their relationship was at, but that there was certainly a way to save it.
