‘Outlander’ is losing another actor to a potentially big role in the wildly popular Marvel fan televisions show ‘Agent Carter.’ What does this mean for her character in Season three of ‘Outlander‘?
Congratulations to ‘Outlander’ actress Lotte Verbeek for her new role in Season two of the ABC television show ‘Agent Carter.’ It is the third television role for Verbeek. Her most famous being ‘Outlander’, but she got her start on American television in the short-lived Showtime series ‘Borgias.’
Lotte will be joining lead actors Hayley Atwell (Peggy Carter) and James D’arcy (Edwin Jarvis) in season two of ‘Agent Carter.’ Lotte’s character on the show will be of the loving wife of Edwin Jarvis, Ana Jarvis. In season one Edwin told Peggy how met his wife in Budapest while he was working with the Army and fell in love. When World War two broke out, she could not leave the country without official documentation. Edwin forged the documents to get Ana out of the country to safety and sacrificed his Army career in the process.

The last time we saw Lotte was in Outlander’s season one episode ‘The Devil’s Mark’ when Geillis Duncan admitted to being a witch and was carrying the spawn of the Devil. She assisted in creating a diversion for Claire and Jamie to escape the lynch mob. Just like on ‘Game of Thrones’, no one is dead until you see them dead. If the television show keeps in line with the books, we should see Geillis reaping havoc in season three. It has many fans scratching their heads of what might happen if she becomes a permanent fixture on the ABC show.
The role in Agent Carter of shopgirl turned 1950’s housewife might sound like a simple role to play for an actress of Lotte caliber, but it could not be further from the truth. Ana Jarvis is going to be a complex and tenacious character that will make the show better. I have no doubt she will be back on Outlander for season three.
