The episode seven “The Wedding” was the most anticipated episode of the first season of Outlander. Fans who have read the books could tell you it is one the best chapters of the book. The television show up until episode seven stayed in line with the book. Most assumed we would watch the wedding as it was written in the book. Fans were so delightfully wrong. Viewers get an intimate retelling of the wedding day from Jamie. Since the book is from the point of view of Claire, we do not get to see those moments. We would be remiss not to thank the director of the episode who allowed us in the honeymoon suite with Claire and Jamie. It was one of the most passionate without being gratuitous sex scenes ever done on television. This episode sets the tone for the relationship between Claire and Jamie and for that we thank you producers of Outlander.
