1. “Surrender.”

From Season 1, Episode 15 ‘Wentworth Prison”.

Air Date: May 16, 2015

In one of the most intense on-screen moments, probably in TV history (EVER), Jamie is raped by Black Jack Randall and for both Jamie and Sam Heughan, this is one of the most heartbreaking and horrific moments ever.

For Jamie, this is something that will be carried with him for the rest of the series. Even in Book 8 “Written In My Own Heart’s Blood”, Jamie suffers repercussions of his time with Black Jack and what happened to him, so this moment had to make the list. Just as if this were an actual story (not fiction, I mean) this moment would be carried with a person for the rest of their lives. I appreciate Diana Gabaldon for writing it realistically. And to Sam and the production/ writing crew, I’m glad we were able to share this moment with Jamie.
