Cromwell’s world is about to come crashing down on him. Don’t miss the Wolf Hall: The Mirror and the Light series finale tomorrow, Sunday, April 27.

It’s hard to believe that we are already at this point. The series has been 10 years in the making, and it’s finally arrived, only to end so quickly. Of course, we know the way the story has to end thanks to history, but the TV show has a way of turning a few stories on their heads and making us feel bad for Cromwell at times.

How to watch Wolf Hall: The Mirror and the Light episode 6

The final episode of the season will air tonight, Sunday, April 27 at 9/8c on PBS. You can watch live on the channel, or you can turn to PBS.org to catch up on the series.

This is not a part of the story that you’ll want to miss. After all, we know that Cromwell has been arrested, and once you enter the Tower of London, it’s very rare that you make it out with Henry VIII on the throne.

What to expect in the Wolf Hall: The Mirror and the Light series finale

The final episode will see how Thomas Cromwell meets his maker. The entire season has been building up to this. Throughout the first season, we saw how Cromwell rose in power and gained the friendly ear of the King. While doing that, he made many enemies, and those enemies are now working against him.

History tells us that Cromwell will face the executioner’s ax. There are many poetic moments that happen throughout the final episode, though. While Cromwell has started to feel guilt for the actions he’s taken over the last few years to gain the power he had, he’ll now have to face his conscience alone. After all, the Tower of London is a solitary place.

We need to be reminded of Anne Boleyn at this point. Cromwell has felt guilt for what he did, and now it’s all about to come back to haunt him. Everything that he did to Anne is about to happen to him, and there is nobody around to protect him. He knows that anyone who tries will end up with the same fate as him, so he needs to face all this alone.

Wolf Hall: The Mirror and the Light’s series finale will air tomorrow, Sunday, April 27 at 9/8c on PBS.
