Romance comes in all forms. We can have sexy and steamy shows and movies, or we can get something a little more light-hearted and fun. You’re Cordially Invited is certainly the latter.

You’re Cordially Invited stars Will Ferrell and Reese Witherspoon. This doesn’t appear to be the usual romantic comedy. It brings a lot of heart and a touch on family. It’s one you will not want to skip over this weekend.

You’re Cordially Invited brings two weddings in one location

Witherspoon’s Margot and Ferrell’s Jim end up at the same location on the same date for a wedding. Only, it’s not for the same wedding!

Jim is planning his daughter’s wedding, and he wants to make sure it all goes off without a hitch. Margot finds out her sister is getting married and decides to take over the planning. The two end up picking the same location on June 1, and the venue ends up with a mix-up. Both of the weddings are booked for the exact same day.

It’s a nightmare that no bride wants to deal with. In this case, it’s something that wedding planners don’t want to deal with.

Of course, it leads to a hilarious showdown between the two wedding parties. Absolutely everyone ends up involved in the situation, with both sides attempting everything they can to prevent each other’s weddings from going ahead while making the most of the time that they have available.

We all know that this is a rom-com, though. What are the chances that Margot and Jim end up together by the end of it? Personally, I would love to see a story where the two families end up becoming on good terms, but it would be fun to see the uptight Margot and the excited Jim end up falling for each other.
