All Jinny wanted was to escape an abusive marriage, and now she is stuck in a country she doesn’t want to be in. However, she can’t return to England in The Buccaneers season 2.

During the latest episode, Jinny told Guy that she was going back home, and he initially believed that she meant New York. No, England has become her home, and she wants to get back there. However, she can’t, and Guy makes it clear that she is all over the papers as the woman who kidnapped her unborn child.
How can you possibly do that? Well, in today’s world, it doesn’t make a lot of sense. In the past, women were property of their husbands, and that baby was the property of Lord Seadown. It doesn’t matter that he was abusive, as it wasn’t really seen that way in the past.
Lord Seadown made his intentions clear to Nan in The Buccaneers
Guy is likely worried that Jinny will be arrested for her crimes if she returns to England, but that’s not what Lord Seadown wants to see happen. He has painted his wife as a mad woman, and he makes it clear to Nan that he will see to it that everyone sees her that way.
When he gets Jinny back, he is going to take the child and then ensure that his wife is locked away in an asylum. This is sure to make her go crazy, and there’s nothing that Nan can do about it. It was easy for a man to have his wife locked away in an asylum back then.
Even Nan’s mother-in-law has made it clear that there’s little Nan can do to save Jinny if anyone finds out where she is. The title of Duchess only allows her to do so much.
Lord Seadown is sure to find Jinny in The Buccaneers season 2
While Jinny and Guy have decided to make the most of their life together, it’s only a matter of time before Lord Seadown figures out where his wife is. This is sure to be via some sort of mistake, as Guy and Jinny aren’t really passing off as a married couple. Seadown will have spies, although he doesn’t have too much influence just yet.
That’s if Jinny and Guy remain in Italy. How long will it be until they decide they want to go somewhere else? Could they end up going to New York? Will Jinny decide England is worth the risk after all?
