The Gathering 2024: What happened at Chocolate Shop?
Day 2 was a packed day at Sasnak City’s The Gathering 2024. That’s pretty normal for the event, with things ending with Chocolate Shop, Blue Mountain, and the dance party.
Chocolate Shop is only for Lallybroch ticket holders, and it’s a great chance to meet the cast and get to know them a little more. Yes, there is also time for selfies.
Delicious desserts at Chocolate Shop at The Gathering 2024
The World War I Museum puts together a collection of small desserts for the event, but it’s all about Crumbl Cookie. After all, many of the Outlander cast members haven’t tasted Crumbl since it’s not a brand of cookie in the UK. At least, if it is, there aren’t many locations! So, this is a chance for Lallybroch ticket holders share their love for the cookies.
It didn’t become the big talking point for many this year as it has in the past. That doesn’t stop it from being a favorite dessert for the cast to take with them. There is one cookie per attendee as well.
Selfies and chatting at Chocolate Shop
Now for the actual event. The cast comes in and splits into groups of two, so they can go to the tables to meet people in smaller groups. At The Gathering 2024, there were five tables since there were 10 cast members.
Each table got eight minutes with the cast members. It all started with selfies and then went into a chat, with the idea that people would get through the selfies quickly to get to the chatting. In previous years, the selfies were done at the end of each round, and that meant things would overrun.
It is important to follow the rules during these events. The most important one is not to monopolize the cast. Everyone has this ticket as part of their Lallybroch ticket, and everyone deserves equal time to chat to the cast and hear from them.
Chocolate Shop ran for about an hour in total. It was a great night for attendees and cast.
