The steamy drama The Buccaneers is back to bring us more soapy romance drama. There is no doubt that you’ll want to see each episode as it airs, and just like most Apple TV+ shows, it is getting a weekly release.
The first season did drop three episodes at once before releasing the rest of the season weekly. Is that the way the schedule will work this time? Did you actually have three episodes to watch yesterday?

The Buccaneers season 2 release schedule
Sadly for those ready to get right into the drama, there is only one episode of The Buccaneers season 2. Apple TV+ has decided that this series is popular enough to release in the old-fashioned broadcast way. To be honest, this is better for the show. Weekly releases mean that there’s plenty to talk about, and there are two months of episodes rather than cramming everything into one month.
Episodes are released on Wednesdays on Apple TV+ at 3 a.m. ET/12 a.m. PT. As it’s a streaming platform, you’ll be able to watch whenever you want from that point, and the whole of season 1 is still available to stream.
Here’s the full release schedule for The Buccaneers season 2:

What to expect in The Buccaneers season 2
Don’t worry if you haven’t seen the first episode of the season yet. We’re not going into spoilers in this post. This is all based on the trailer and the synopsis for the season.
The end of The Buccaneers season 1 saw Nan have to sacrifice her own happiness for her sister, Jenny. She had to maintain peace between families, which meant choosing Theo. However, Guy Thwarte is still likely in the picture, because he knows deep down that Nan only chose Theo out of sacrifice and obligation rather than out of love.

This does make Nan the most influential woman in England, though. She is the Duchess of Tintagel, and that could mean some great things for her and her friends. They are also still in England, although not all of them are facing happy endings. Jinny is wanted for the kidnap of her unborn child — how do you kidnap the child you’re carrying? — and Conchita is now Lady Brightlingsea, a heroine to young American heiresses.
The season is based on the unfinished novel by Edith Wharton, so there isn’t much source material to work with. Could the tone of the series change, or does this offer more freedom for the women?
The Buccaneers season 2 airs on Wednesdays on Apple TV+.
