Love is in the air, and we’re still a month away from Valentine’s Day. There are some exciting romance shows to arrive in January 2026, and we’re looking at the ones that we’re most excited about.
Sure enough, there’s something for everyone, whether you love modern-day romances or period romances. Streamers remain to be the best option to find a romantic story or two, but there are a few cable options as well.
This list is in release date order, because it’s impossible to compare different styles of romance.
When Call the Heart season 13
Can you believe When Calls the Heart is entering its 13th season? Who would have thought we’d have fallen in love with the people of Hope Valley so much. Well, here we are, and the hit Western series is the first of the romance shows to return.
There aren’t many details about what to expect when the series returns. The end of season 12 saw Elizabeth, Nathan, Allie, and Jack head to Cape Fullerton, and there’s a lot to discuss when it comes to changing ways. Elizabeth is so used to being a single mom that she is just in that mindset, and Nathan needs to be patient to get her to remember that she has him to lean on now.
When Calls the Heart premieres on Sunday, Jan. 4 at 8/7c on Hallmark.
Finding Her Edge
For those who want a new romance that is set in the modern world, Finding Her Edge is the series to watch. The Russo sisters are heirs to a struggling skating legacy, but it’s not just about the sport. Love is set to find them, and we’ll be faced with complicated feelings, love triangles, and more.
Adriana Russo, the 17-year-old sister, is at the heart of the story. When she’s paired with Brayden for the World Championships, everything changes. But she’s struggling with the feelings for her former partner, Freddie. Can the couple succeed on and off the ice?
Finding Her Edge drops on Netflix on Thursday, Jan. 22.

It’s Not Like That
Amazon has paired with the Wonder Project for a number of shows, and It’s Not Like That is the latest faith-based series to check out. It follows Lori, a freshly divorced mom of two, who has to figure out her new world and freedom.
On the other side of the coin is a recently widowed dad of three, who happens to be a minister. Malcolm’s family and Lori’s family used to do everything together, but with parenthood and modern-day complications, things aren’t as easy as they used to be. What happens as feelings start to form between them?
It’s Not Like That premieres on Sunday, Jan. 25 with two episodes, and the remaining six will air Sundays on Prime Video.
Bridgerton
We couldn’t skip over the period drama Bridgerton, could we? This romantic series is coming back for another round, and this time, we get to see Benedict Brigerton fall in love. He’s managed to avoid the social expectations for some time, but we all know that love can just hit us.
The downside to Bridgerton season 4 is that it’s releasing in two parts. So, only the first four episodes will drop this month. That’s okay, we have plenty of romance shows to work through. At least we get the classic Cinderella story with a few twists this season.
Bridgerton season 4 part 1 drops on Thursday, Jan. 29 on Netflix.
