For All Mankind Season 4, Episode 9 ended with a shocking and heartbreaking turn of events. What does it mean as we go into the finale?

Caution: There are major spoilers from For All Mankind Season 4, Episode 9 in this post.

With it being the penultimate episode, it wasn’t surprising that Episode 9, titled “Brazil,” ended in such a major way. Of course there was going to be some huge event that would push us into the finale. Did that huge event have to be the death of a great character?

Poor Margo has just reunited with Sergei. They had such a beautiful moment discussing everything going on and how to get around problems, and yet, things ended just as I guess we all thought they would. Sergei was shot in the head with the gun placed in his hand to make it look like suicide. Margo will know that he definitely didn’t kill himself, but will she get to the bottom of it and is she next?

Tensions rise in the For All Mankind Season 4 finale

At the same time, things have hit a head on Mars. The conspirators have a few people under their control, including Miles, who is doing a bang-up job of holding out during interrogation. How long will it take before he does end up giving up information?

We also finally got to hear why Ed doesn’t want to go back to Earth. He’s too scared of ending up in a nursing home. In a way, that’s not surprising. This is a man who has always wanted to do something big, and right now he has that chance to do it. I get a sense that we’ll see him sacrifice his life in the For All Mankind Season 4 finale. He’s been so on the peripheral this season that it only seems right that he goes out with some sort of bang.
