Vikings characters have been referenced in Vikings: Valhalla. In fact, despite the sequel series being set 100 years later, there has been a character return to the show! The first five and a half seasons of the OG series aired on History, but the second half of the season was exclusive to Prime Video.
Since then, Prime Video and Hulu have had the series. It’s almost time for Netflix to license it.
When will Vikings come to Netflix?
What’s On Netflix shared the exciting news for Vikings: Valhalla fans who want to watch how Kattegat got its start. The series is set to arrive on Netflix on March 30, 2024. That’s not too long to wait.
This has been something talked about for some time. However, MGM produced the series and that studio was taken over by Amazon. That then led to questions about whether the U.S. would get a chance to watch the series on Netflix. Well, the questions are over.
What’s On Netflix says that the U.S. is definitely getting the show. There is a chance fans in the UK will also get the chance to watch it. Many other locations already get to watch the period drama on Netflix.
What about Vikings: Valhalla Season 3?
Fans are still waiting for the third season of the spin-off series. The third season is going to be the last. This was written as the final season, so there’s no need to worry too much about cliffhangers.
There isn’t a date for the release just yet, though. All we know right now is that it will be at some point this year. It gives you plenty of time to watch all six seasons of the OG series.
