4. Timeless

What about a series that involves a lot of time travel to different points in time and has people trying to change history? That’s what Timeless offers.

It follows a group of people who pilot the “lifeboat,” a time travel machine that goes after someone who has stolen the main time travel device. They need to follow this one man who wants to change history in an attempt to save his family. What happens when history is changed? We see the consequences in the series premiere, and it leads to questions about just how much the butterfly effect has on the world.

3. Russian Doll

Not all time travel dramas are just drama. There are some that infuse comedy into the series, but still keep the story meaningful. Russian Doll does that, bringing us some life lessons about who we are and what we offer people.

Natasha Lyonne stars as Nadia Vulvokov, a woman who finds herself trapped in a loop. She dies and then comes back to life, very much like Groundhog Day. Only in this one, she’s not alone. It turns out that someone else is suffering the same fate. Could they end up helping each other to get out of the time loop, and is there a limit to how many times they can die and come back?
